This temple is located in Xi-Hwa neighborhood of North District Tainan city, occupying approximately 1,000 ping in area. This temple was first established in 1750, and therefore it is a class three heritage with more than 230
years of history. In the beginning, Chung, Wong, Wu and Liu came over to Taiwan from China to preach religion.
Tsai Chuan-Tze (Tsai Ah-Gong), Wong Wen-Feng (Wong Gong-Ju) came to Tainan and established Gi-Jin-Chung-Pai-Jiao Xi-Hwa vegetarian temple for Upsasika and Upasaka with hair initially and to worship Buddha. After years, time changed and the vegetarian sect gradually became a monastery as well, and now it has become a place for Buddhist monks and nuns.

 

In the main hall, Triratna is in the middle while Kuan-Shih-Yin Buddha and Di-Tzang-Wang Buddha and some other guardians are on either sides, behind it is Founder of the Golden Flag Sect , San-Guan Da-Di, Tai-She-Lao Yeh, etc. This room is called Nei-Jia-Xiang which is the most holy place of the Golden Flag Sect .


During the opinion war, Xi-Hwa temple was also damaged. After the situation settled, Cheng Tsan-Niang, Ling Yah-Niang, Wu Bai-Niang, Shih Nen-Wu, Yuan Yin-Niang and Huang Chou-Niang came to help this temple with 1,600 dollars for repairs. Until Kuan-She 20th year, Lin Jui-Yuen joined with other directors and worshippers to donate and acquired residences to the left hand side. Afterwards, Yeh Lin Nine niang, Sun Pao Lin, Lin Liu Ku, Lin Shen, Lin Da Su, Sin Xi-Hwai and other related partiesdonated land one after another to expand the temple and clear up the surroundings.
