This temple hosts the main god
San-Shan Guo Wang, who has
been brought over by pioneers
from Lin-Tien ancestral temple in
mainland China. The San-Wang
was originally the guardian of originating temple of over 800 years in age, built in
the Ching dynasty, Yong-Cheng 7th year (1729 AD), with 270 years of history. The
government has enlisted it as a national heritage site, was allocated a significant
amount of money in 1996 for the restoration of the temple, and was congratulated with
horizontal inscribed boards from ex-President Li-Deng-Huei, ex-vice president, Lien
Chan, Head of the Executive Yuan, Mrs. Hsiao Won-Chang. The temple is located at
an excellent location, with great views, ancient palace crafts, colorful decoration. It is
the only Eastern Canton ancient palace building treasure in Taiwan, and has been
displaying its invincible might since ancient times, the worshippers are strong in their
belief, well known throughout the world, and hence it has been listed as a national
heritage treasure.
San-Shan Guo-Wang (Da-Guo-Wang named Lien Jie, otherwise known as Ching-
Hwa-titled Cheng-So-Jin-Wang. Er-Guo-Wang-named Chou Shane, otherwise known
as Chu-Cheng-titled Cheng-So-Ming-San. San-Guo-Wang-named Chiao Chun,
otherwise known as Hui-Wei-titled Chen-So-Du-San). There story originated from
mainland Jin-Ming Du San San, from Canton Chow Chou Jie-Yang county Lin-Tien
originally (now “Jie-Xi country He-Po town) where they are respected both for their
integrity and ability who became brothers to each other under oath, vouching to
eliminate the bad and help the country offend the riots, with no ambition in politics,
who have been personally awarded by various emperors, and have been worshiped
at Jin-San (Lin-Tien) since the Shuei dynasty.
Guo-Wang were heroic while alive, so transformed into a god after death, their
bravery, loyalty, people saving virtues and stories are countless, so after they
died, people worshipped their good deeds and built temples to remember their good
virtues. Created Chinese Jin-Ming Du-SanSan Guo-Wang association to try and
unite all temples in the country and promote the religion. Every year, on the 25th
day of the 2nd month in lunar calendar all worshippers in the world sincerely pray
and celebrate their birthday in remembrance of the good loyal San-Shan Guo-Wang.
