It is located on Tung-Feng road at North District of Tainan City, with 60 meter wide roads, with motorcycles and cars separated. Tree cotton is planted on both sides of the road and some Flamegold in between attracting citizens to take photos of the area during flowering season. It is the number one shaded boulevard in this city. On either
side of the traffic island on Tung-Feng road, there is also bike ways along the entire Tung-Feng road. Under this romantic and poetic atmosphere, there are many coffee shops and exotic cuisine, special shops and pop music instrument stores and gardening shops. It makes people walking on Tung-Feng road feel the tingling changes, since our Tung-Feng road can also be so beautiful and so romantic!
Under careful planning by the North district council, surrounding merchants, and community planners, the Tung-Feng commercial zone promotional committee formed by the 23 shops in the area is officially established on December 4th 2002. They are offering “patronage cards” with discounts to repay their customers and voted on the LOGO with tree cotton image as the identification system for these shops, holding music festival activities such as still life painting, photography, open air music performance and other cultural programs to bring the people there.
The development direction of Tung-Feng commercial zone will focus on three major directions: 1. propulsion of merchant resident organization, 2. Facility, environment improvement design, and 3. arrangement of software activities. Then this commercial zone may become one of the key tourist attractions for the North District, as well as a public environment that all residents can be proud of.
